刘强,1984年9月出生于天津。2003年进入武汉大学化学与分子科学学院学习,2007年获学士学位。同年进入武汉大学雷爱文教授课题组攻读博士学位,在过渡金属催化的偶联反应和相关反应机理研究方面开展研究工作,2012年获得博士学位。随后获得德国洪堡奖学金的资助,加入德国莱布尼兹催化研究所Matthias Beller教授课题组进行博士后研究,主要研究方向为C1小分子的催化活化及其在重要工业催化反应中的应用。2015年6月加入bet365中国开始独立科研工作。刘强博士曾获2012年武汉大学十大杰出青年学生,2011年武汉大学十大学术之星等奖项,并于2010年入选中国优秀博士代表团受邀参加德国林岛诺贝尔奖得主大会。

刘强博士的主要研方向为均相催化和金属有机化学,以及相关反应的机理研究。课题组将围绕均相催化的挑战性问题,基于金属有机化学发展新反应和催化剂,并注重利用物理有机化学手段进行深入的反应机理研究。通过对反应机理的认识进一步指导催化剂和反应的理性设计。目前的主要研究领域为廉价金属催化的氢化和脱氢反应以及可见光促进的催化可控自由基反应。
